Established in April 2009, the Wayang Office is an independent organisation that aims to develop and support independent film exhibition throughout South East Asia.
The Wayang works in association with independent cinemas, film festivals, film societies and the regional and national screen agencies.
CanteenWayang is a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity. It is governed by a board of trustees and has an advisory group comprising partners and stakeholders.
The CanteenWayang is funded by the many philanthropists, Asian media companies, film lovers/enthusiasts and independent arts movement in South East Asia.
